What is a screw head?
The screw head can be called screw tip assembly and also, is an important component of the injection molding machine.
The screw tip assembly is made of 3 parts: screw tip, check ring(can be called non-return ring), and thrust ring.
What is the function of a screw head ?
The function is to maintain the effective injection pressure. During the pre-plasticizing process, the plasticized melt can be discharged into the storage barrel, and at the time of high-pressure injection, the melt at the front of the screw head can be effectively closed to prevent backflow.
Barrelize can operate several treatments in-house such as for your injection screw head: nitriding, bimetallic, fully hard. Among them, nitriding treatment is the most widely used one as it’s almost suitable for all general purpose applications.
What’s the specification of Barrelize Screw Head:
The hardness can reach HV950±50or above, equivalent to HRC68~69.
What are the main features of Barrelize Screw Head:
1. Flexible and smooth structure, which makes itself easy to clean, easy to assemble, and disassemble
2. The thread of the screw head is opposite to the thread direction of the screw, so it can prevent loosening during charging
3. It has a suitable match clearance between the check ring and the barrel. So it can prevent the resin backflow.
