PVC injection screw advantage

PVC injection screw is a type of screw used in plastic injection molding machines to process PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) materials. It is designed specifically to handle the unique characteristics of PVC material, such as high viscosity, thermal sensitivity, and corrosiveness.

PVC injection screws Material: The material selection for PVC injection screws is crucial because PVC is a corrosive material that can cause wear and tear on the screw over time. Therefore, bimetallic alloys, nitrided steel, and other specialty materials are commonly used to make PVC injection screws. Barrelize PVC injection screws are amde of 38CrMoAlA, 42CrMo, Full hard powder metallurgy steel.
PVC injection screws Design: PVC injection screws have a unique geometry and design to handle the high viscosity and thermal sensitivity of PVC material. They typically have a compression ratio of around 3:1 to 4:1, which means that the space between the screw flights decreases as the screw rotates, effectively squeezing and compressing the PVC material. The high compression ratio and longer channel length help in achieving the desired melting and homogenization of the PVC material.
Coatings: Several treatments in-house include nitriding, chrome plating, and bimetallic, fully hardened steel, vacuum quenching process are applied to PVC injection screws to increase their durability and resistance to wear and tear. These coatings can help extend the life of the screw and improve the quality of the molded PVC products.
Maintenance: Maintenance is essential for the long-term performance of PVC injection screws. Regular cleaning, lubrication, and inspection can help prevent wear and tear and ensure that the screw operates efficiently. If damage or wear is detected, the screw may need to be repaired or replaced to maintain optimal performance.
